I am sure he has had his heartaches and troubles along the way, but I would have loved to live his life. Seems like he did/does what he loves and has made a good living out of it.

In my twenties I watched a lot of his VHS tapes on trapping. I always loved his enthusiasm. Loved how he spoke to his audience. He still has that positive vibe

When I moved to the city for college my first apartment was just a few houses down from where he grew up trapping as a kid. If you could picture growing up just inside the outer belt that surrounds the wild jungles of Columbus Ohio trapping as a kid you'd better understand his success story. I grew up out in the country hunting and trapping and he surpassed anything outdoors I have accomplished in my lifetime, probably before he was 20.

If you ever drive through Columbus Ohio on I-70 on the east side where 270 crosses look over at the grasslands across the interstate fence and that was basically his line as a kid. Amazing, really, what he turned it into if you think about it.
