Gotta a few like this where I trap...had to bring in heavy weights for anchors...ie, brake rotors, concrete blocks, old weights and cable my traps off to them when using footholds or snares.
Bodygrippers can be positioned on the banks and anchored off there but check your state laws first. There are several trap modification guys that make different trap stabilizers for these situations...gotta get creative.
Good luck.

When trapping at reservoir (dam) faces, bridges or the plunge pools of the outlets of culverts or any where it was rocky for me I started out using pre-made H.D, 1" chicken wire baskets and 14 ga wire to close them and connect to trap chain. Later switched to woven poly seed bags and wired them up. Fill, twist, and set. Did not use a shovel or sand as some guys need in their areas. Your weight, rocks, were always at the trap site so I just carried the container(s) and filled right there. Sometimes the manmade sites had too large of rip rap and I had to look more but usually found a single rock small enough to fit what I needed. Used them on 1 way slide drowners (both ends) and never lost critter. Limited use on dryland but it held the 1-2 years I used it on them. My Experience. ........................ the mike

For anchoring, bricks work well for bottom edge mink sets, as do windows weights, brake rotors, and railroad plates

I have used rocks to stabilize the levers with a cinder block chained as an anchor in shallow creeks for otter. Paul Antczak makes an elongated stabilizer for 330s for rocky creeks. Search trapping rocky creeks on YouTube

When I have to trap those rocky shorelines, I make some sandbags to place the traps on. I use old sweatpants legs, or you could use some old jeans. Or any material you have on hand. Make the bag about 3" larger then the trap you are going to use. You end up with a bag like those corn hole bags. Sew one end shut then fill with sand. Don't over fill the bag you need to be able to wiggle the trap down on to the bag to stabilize it. Now you can sew up the other end of the bag.

In some cases, you can find cracks in those rip wrapped banks where you can drive in a stake. If not, you can use weights that other posters mentioned.

For beaver and otter with body grips in rocky bottoms, it can be difficult to down right impossible to get an H stand in. Might get one leg in but can’t find a purchase for the other leg. You can use an individual piece of 3/8” rebar driven down between the ends of the spring so the spring eye compresses on the rebar. Then use a second one somewhere inside the spring on the other side wherever you can get it in, to stop any twisting of the trap. You can also weld up a base out of rebar that your body grips will lock into or use a tie plate with a body grip stabilizer welded to it.

On foot traps I use a shorter stake (16-18”) in some situations if I cannot get a 24” in. Or tie my drowner cable off to a root or tree. If I have to pack in any distance I use sandbags and fill them with rocks for drowning weights. If I’m able to drive close to the set I have two tie plates welded together with a rebar handle and a 1/4” quick link for a drowning weight. These are heavy plates, 20-21 pounds each. So I don’t pack a 40+ pound drowning weight very far. This one has an S hook rather than a quick link but it has been replaced with a quick link since this picture was taken.

Take those large tie plats and drill 4 holes in them and then put some bolts in those holes. Arrange the holes so you can get the BG jaws tight against the bolts when you set the trap. Drilling holes in those plates is easy. Perfect way to stabilize a BG.

The other thing about H stands. I have cut off the 2 legs, so they are only 3" long. Then I welded on a single leg in the middle. The 2 short legs keep the BG from being turned. In most case's you can get a single legged BG stabilized.

I trap dry when I can. Check everyday. The catch is alive 99% of the time unless I use bodygrips.
