I'd like to make up some castor based bobcat lure with catnip. any thoughts on ratio of ground castor to catnip oil? How about artificial catnip vs. authentic - any difference in effectiveness?

We have a house cat that goes wacky for real catnip I pick myself and dry. Same cat has no response to the artificial stuff or a tincture I made out of the real stuff.

I know Tracy has informed us numerous times oil or alcohol kills the ingredients cats respond to in silver vine. He might of said the same about catnip. I cant remember but my experience is that only the real stuff in natural form has attraction.
