It was a smaller sale but it was good. I showed up at 10am to pickup furs and I think I was the last one to do so. At a glance prices seem higher than last year. I just got home so I haven’t had a chance to deep dive into numbers yet.

The beaver lots I bought were an average of either 26 or 31 each. The lot I got outbid on sold for an average of 34 each. I don’t have numbers for all the lots, just the ones I had bid on.

At a quick reading of my paper I counted 23 beaver lots but I did check it quickly so maybe I missed some. I was looking at smaller lots, 4 or less, and I looked at maybe 10 or so of those lots? My guess would be between 150-200 total, but again that is just a guess.

There were a ton of no sale cats so no idea how they ended up doing. Cats are not something I really look at so I don’t do any math with them. The coyote lots I bid on sold for 23-25 each generally.

The few cats I've taken over there the last couple of years got poor offers. Cat market doesn't seem to heat up early...plus the best cats are still roaming the sagebrush.

I’m a fairly open book so I’ll share how I did. I sent down 31 coyotes, 1 bobcat, 6 beaver held over from last spring and 2 muskrats also held over.

My bobcat, not a great cat but a decent cat, brought 306. Actually better than I expected.

One lot of 10 coyotes. Not fully furred up and a little light in places brought 18.60 each.

One lot of 21 coyotes, well furred brought 24.85 each

One beaver at 26.17
Two beaver at 24.14 each
Three beaver at 21.15 each

The two muskrats brought 3.50 each.

Trail cameras and fresh snow have broke a lot of trapper’s hearts.

Rusty will make sure everything gets posted. I'm sure ID. trappers need a rest and will get it done.

We're all awaiting on Rusty for that. Can't imagine he would have anything better to do but to enlighten us spectators as to what transpired in Glenn's Ferry on Saturday.

It usually takes ITA a couple of days to post averages. Not exactly sure why, since other sales are able to post them as soon as the last lot is cleared. Just saying.

I'm guessing it's because on his list of priorities that is right about at the bottom.
