I can't make heads or tails out of the reporting other than armed man approached ICE and ICE attempted to disarm struggle ensued and shots fired.

I just watched their clown of a mayor inciting more people to protest (riot). No mention of the person shot being armed and threatening. That mayor should be arrested and jailed.

A thought occurred to me that while some sort of federal takeover is absolutely required as the state is in open insurrection are we sure that sending in the army won't compound the problem?

Reason I say this is that ICE/BP/FBI are among the highest trained in exactly this sort of urban conflict in the law and order context, aka dealing with civil rioting and discord. Where our military forces might not be on an individual unit training basis, especially considering the past regime's DEI policies.

The last thing we need is another Kent State.

However, I'm firmly convinced that Trump has to react by taking out the state actors that are fomenting this rebellion. I just hope that he has the right personnel available and chooses wisely in what forces he does send in.

Maybe a Maduro type action is in order here. Snag Walz and Frey and put them on trial.

The cat and mouse tear gas block by block thing isn't working because most of the "protesters" have just as good of gas masks as any of the LEOS. The fed LEOs are out of the scene, the "battle" is now between the local and state LEOs.

Walz and Frey need to be immediately arrested for insurrection and some actually sane in Minnesota leadership has to be brought in to handle the losers in the streets. Unfortunately, I don't think anybody in the chain of elected positions of power has the willingness to cooperate. They would rather see the chaos to score national political points.
