Tried making my first small batch of waxed sand and I think I scorched it a little. Smells a little off and is a bit dark I think unless the sand just gets a little darker when the wax is melted in. Can I still use this or is it completely useless? Will fox and coyote completely avoid it?

Think of waxing dirt or sand like cooking on an electric stove start out slow (far away) and get closer slowly baby steps I’ve done it myself before too. For fox and coyote I’d start over if you don’t like the smell I doubt they would like it.

Darker is normal in waxing dirt or sand but if you have any type of odor from scorching it, They will avoid it or worse, dig your trap up.If you havent made much, I would get rid of it and start over.
