So made someone a small chicken tractor a month back ..nothing serious enough for like 2-5 birds moving it every three days or so. Hanging feeders wheel near boxes roosting bars the works but was a quick deal I made with scraps ..d9on't even take any pictures of it I don't think......They saw mine at the house and where all about getting one . And I had the extra material so said why not
Anyhow get off the barge check my phone. Got a call from them . Call back and there ...not happy , was trying to say my tractor don't work, it was just a mess in there an how I must be doin special to mine to keep the grass growing and it not stinking... I says ok how often are you moving it first of all... Long pause and they come back with asking what do I mean move it ? Told them ...it's a chicken tractor, it's whole point is to be moved so they get on fresh ground and they can't just make one place into a mess ... Another long pause and they say that don't make any sense you don't move chicken pens !
I explained to this person when I sold it to them that they need to move it every few days . I put dang wheels on the thing for a reason ! Shoot they were there when I was moving mine .Finally told them to just jack the wheels up like I showed them move it like 10' to some fresh ground , shouldn't take more then 2mins if everything is still the way I left it and get back with me.
They responded with a few nice words that really reminded me why I don't build stuff for sale very much at all anymore ...like... seriously...the whole point of a mobile chicken pen...to to move it !

I think they just bought, it not knowing how to use it. I saw the guy out mowing on the way to the store once and thought about stopping to say something on the way back home, if he was still out, but he wasn't. The poop has built up and is higher than the wood on the sides now and is coming through the wire.

I commend you on how you handled their phone call. If they started birching at me about their own stupidity I probably would've lost my temper pretty quick. If you were moving yours when they were at your place and you showed them what to do they have to be complete idiots. Sounds like a couple of oxygen thieves.
I doubt you'll quit helping people out based on a couple of morons, at least I hope you don't. You seem like a pretty decent guy but I'd wash my hands of them completely. If they can't make a civil phone call and ask a couple of questions then they're not worth your time and effort.
