Quit paving the back roads.....no need. Gravel roads are good..... ...and quit spending money on salt and brine in the winter. Drive slower or go in the ditch. Rant over

What ever became of trump promising that for every new law created he would require 3 already on the books to be removed? Oh, yeah...just political jabber. He got serious on immigration, and pretty much solved that problem. Then the Republicans had a shot at cleaning up the budget, but the One Big Beautiful 'aint it. It is STUFFED with pork, and everyone who voted for it is guilty of ripping off taxpayers. In truth, there are volumes of waste and they all know it. Trump has made efforts to reign it in, but he always caves.
Just doing what I want now.

Trump has made efforts to reign it in, but he always caves. I got my pork out of it. Looking like 22 to 25k of my half time part untaxed ot pay. Increased child tax credits, standard deduction of 30k for married. With farm deduction added it not only brought me down to the 12% bracket but I also was able to move 20k from ira to roth at the 12% rate. Wure would be nice if I could get everything in my ira and 401 that is tax deferred into roth ira and roth 401 before I access them And I have my first suppresor i won't have paid a tax stamp on in the system now. Need to get a few more moving. I can go without it and would be fine with it going to the country's debt. But at the same time is nice to finally see some direct benefits personally.

Paving streets in town.
leave a bunch of them gravel , set the speed limit on all non paved roads at 20 and run a grater over them every spring.
with as little traffic as my street sees there would be grass growing through most of the gravel in a year.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Federal minimum wage is 7.25 an hour. A forty hour week is two hundred ninety. Fifteen thousand and eighty dollars a year. No pension plan no health benefits. Should not be any elected official, anywhere in the United States, receiving more than that as compensation for their elected position. To that we can add added positions of people appointed by elected offices. A constitutional amendment that would allow that salary to be lowered but never raised is one I would support.

It can be fixed easily.
If you are on welfare of any kind, your voting rights are suspended. This would completely change who politicians catered to since all they want is your vote. The politicians would then have to actually listen to the tax payer rather than the tax consumer.
But when you are able to take from the tax payer and give free cake to the tax consumer, as long as they will vote the way they want, and. we allow it, it will always be a skewed system. If we take away the politicians ability to buy votes with my money, the system will change dramatically.
But then the cry baby pseudo constitutionalists would cry about their rights and the politicians would come to their rescue......as long as they vote for them.
Rather evil system if you ask me. This a fact and only way to fix downfall of USA.

IMO, the only way to cut spending is to eliminate tax WITHHOLDING completely.
Every Taxpayer cuts a check to Uncle Sam every Quarter. That would just be funny. People receiving don't pay crap.

People receiving don't pay crap. no, but when the people doing the paying actually SEE and FEEL what they're paying, their voting habits will change in a hurry....it won't take long to reduce the amount of money being doled out.

All these federal tax cuts we have had since the 80's sure have curtailed spending, Well, except interest spending. Probably takes 20% of federal revenue these days to provide the interest service.

I live exactly two miles east of Fort Sill’s east range border. On “rocket day” , I like to take my coffee on the porch and watch them being launched. And, each time, I think,” There went $170,000.”
On a busy day, I’ll watch $ 8.5 million going up into the sky.
I’m not saying we need to curtail the MLRS program. Just food for thought.

I’m not saying we need to curtail the MLRS program. Just food for thought. It is painful, but necessary. Willing to spend money on our military capabilities.
