Does anyone know an outfitter that does guided trapping trips for wolf, Lynx, and Wolverine?

Also looking for a guided trapping trip for Marten and Fisher.

I have searched the internet there is not much out there figured someone here may know someone or somebody who does this.

Thank You in advance!

How much time could you devote to a trip like that ?

Seems to me that there was/is someone on the Denali Highway that was willing to do that.

Depending on the cost I am thinking 10 days to 2 weeks. Really want to add these 3 to my trapping list of fur that I have taken!

Well I feel pretty confident in saying that you are looking at several thousand dollars in costs.......including the travel.

I would give yourself 2 weeks at least to allow for weather issues.

It's been a long time but I think it was something like Alpine Lodge or Alpine creek ....something like that..... Google that and Denali Highway and see what you find

Thank You I appreciate that the hospitality that you and your family gave us was incredible. We really enjoyed ourselves and I was fortunate enough to trap my first grey fox and a Bobcat as well. Looking forward to another trip with this young man.

There’s a bunch in Canada. Recently they started taking advantage of bringing Americans up to hunt wolves over a bait. The chances around here for success is non existent. There’s a local outfitter that’s set up on our line, he blows a lot of hot air and is a bit of an idiot, but it’s a free country. There’s a few good ones like Paul Trepus’s set up, but they’re few and far between. They need a huge area and know your packs really well to be successful. There’s a reason it’s not cheap if you want success.

Wind Blew, crap flew, out came the line crew

Jake Jefferson, Black River Hunting. He used to offer guided trapping. Denali Hiway area of Alaska.
As White said, Alpine Cr. Lodge. Also Denali Hiway area.
I think the state doesn't require a "guide license" for trapping so likely could be others.

Lynx and Wolverine you are going to have to go to Canada and Alaska. I know there are a few outfitters in Idaho and Montana that will do wolf, and I'm sure they would throw in marten if they have them in the area. You can't trap fisher in Idaho, although I believe there is a limited season on them in parts of Montana. Many of the outfitters that would do a guided wolf trapping trip don't advertise it, so you would have to call and ask. I know the outfitter I work for has asked me multiple times about offering it, but we have not done so. Lynx, marten and fisher should be no problem to be successful in your time period. Wolf and Wolverine would be much more problematic. If you talk to an outfitter and he acts like it would be no problem to be successful on those species in a week I would be very leery. Unfortunately a lot of outfitters are like the one that Shakey describes.

If you have only a week to catch a wolverine, the "guide" better already have one in a cage.

Just doing what I want now.
