Finished up my third pair. These are deerskin also, in what's called "willow" color. Pretty light, but looks nice with the raccoon trim. And I remembered the fringe piece on this pair.

Its an older alcohol powered machine. LOL.

I still hand sew everything. Sewing machines and I don't have a good history. They are a bit like a cross between a ouija board and black magic.

The original pattern is a men's medium, I would say. It was just a bit too small. It fit, but my fingertips pushed against the inside when I would ride the ATV or carry something.
I enlarged the pattern, and now have what I would call a men's large.
With hand measurements, really any size could be made.
I take the trim strips lengthwise from the coon. The outside strip (on the mitten back) comes from in front of the tail. The palm side strip comes from mid body to neck area.
