This is the third one so far. All big deer. We don't get the weather to do this often, but it's easier than dryscrape and easier on the back then wetscrape. Internet said it was minus two this morning. My biggest issue is numb fingers, I have some neuraphathy, plus just abused my hands for too long. But it can be done with Mittens on.


Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Do you lace them in wet and then let them freeze?

Yes. I wash the hides after fleshing to get the salt out, then frame.
