I have to admit i would probably try it. After all the (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) is supposed to come from responsibly sourced Montana bears -- besides after you cook it the e coli would be dead all that would be left is berries, roots, nuts. Maybe a little deer or elk.

On a similar note, I've seen bear poop piles that are nearly 100% whole huckleberries (blueberries). I've ofte thought that you could probably wash them off and bake a pretty good pie.
