I have a deer feeder in the wooded area across our road, it’s about 50 yards from my front door. It’s just a homemade PVC pipe with elbow and strapped to a tree in a location where about 3-4 game trails all intersect. The feeder holds about a five gallon bucket of corn and it works well for me.
Seemed like a good camera spot to me and the deer generally hang around there a lot and take up the lions share of the SD card space with their pics. But I’ve got cats using those trails too along with other critters.
Wanted to share this series of cat pics from earlier this month. Was like they were showing off for the camera.
Now, to be fair, I did put a smear of beaver castor on that tree with the PVC feeder just to watch their reactions to that attractor. Note how one backs up to it and sprays. I also have a twig dipped in cat gland lure in a small hole in dirt between the camera and the tree. They keep rolling on the cat gland lure.
Hmmm, I’d rather have them on their feet for a foot catch.
So, hope these load up OK. No I haven’t ran any cages there yet.

And for fun, here is a coyote carrying a deer head. He was pretty proud of that.

It's interesting how long they stick around, 42 minutes there. Good stuff there. Good photos Jim.

Very cool photos. Was that a commercial gland lure or home made? I'm wondering if it was made with clean glands or if there was filler material in them (liver, kidney, droppings)?

No clue what is all in that cat gland lure.
Pacific Call was on the label. Made a local company not too far from here, Keg Creek I believe is company name where I got it from. Always had great luck with their products especially their predator baits. Showtime is always in my coyote bag.

Far out! The Cat in the first couple of pic's busted you for sure, Cam must make some kind of noise or emits a light they can see.

It is a busy spot for sure. Several trails converge right there and a little feed or attractor just makes a great camera spot. Seriously it’s a 50 yard walk from my front door. It’s amazing what comes through there. Got some fox pics too.

Here are some other recent pics. Of course there are always a jillion squirrels, coon, birds, possums, other visitors.

That is quite the photo lineup. How many different bobcats do you think were on camera?

Eh...wot?
