I’ve been looking at the RBG 330. Does anyone have experience with them? Wanting a trap I can not only use on otter and beaver but on land as well. We are 10” max on body grip land traps. Being as they are round you get more area.

78.54 square inches area in a 10" circle
100 square inches area in a 10" square

The RBG's are neat traps, good for certain locations, so I don't mean to discourage you from trying them.

It’s 10 inches at the widest point so a 7” is as big as you can use on a normal body grip land trapping because the diagonal is just under at 9.899”. You’ll have much more area on a 10” circle.

i think its pretty standard that they measure horizontally or vertically but i could be wrong and i would check with your local game warden before setting any large bodygripper on land if your not sure of the law same goes for footholds some measure larger one way over another

the laws may take in account for the diagonal already but just because there is a slight loop hole because of a different design may get you in some hot water

Measurements are the problem. I thought I could get away with using 220 RBGs to circumvent our regular 220s size restrictions. But the way they measured the trap ruled out the 220 RBGs.
I loved the RBG s in the 160 size. Being round they just blended in on those coon trails. They were a pain in the butt chasing the springs around when setting them.
Do they make a 280 RBG?
