Make sure rat boards arent one piece as they warp. Making rat boards in two or three pieces keeps board from warping.

Thanks guys,,, my internet has been down, so I have not been able to get on tman. I would love to make some,,, but I just don’t have the wood thin enough to make them… I don’t own a planer,, and plywood that thin just seems like it would be too flimsy.

Make sure rat boards arent one piece as they warp. Making rat boards in two or three pieces keeps board from warping. I hate to disagree with my Marine corps buddy but that's a bunch of BS. I have over a100 rat boards, and I've had them for 20 years or so and none of them have warped. Can't Rember who made them for me, but it was someone from Ohio.

I've never seen a wood rat board that was more than one piece. Lol. Maybe, I need to get out more.

How would you pin rats on paneling? Seems like pins would go through the other side? I see MTP sells basswood rat stretchers. Anything wrong with those?

My rat boards are basswood and a solid 3/8" thick. They work great for XL and up rats. Everything else goes on wire. Well, most go on wire anyway, if I have a bunch to do.
