Moosie...after you get all the stuff in the crock...pour that brown sugar .. molasses mixture into the crock..

Until it just covers the beans. Add some of that bean juice water if needed.

What volume of beans? 2 cups? Half a pot? That is the only measurement missing from your recipe.

And as far as the pot goes, I see an Ohio Stoneware and a Fox Run bean pot on amazon. Any preference?

Don’t worry sheepdog I cook mine in a cast iron Dutch oven and it works pretty well, still better than store bought.

These beans came out the balls ....long finish...after the last spoon full too.
