Pretti was carrying legal up until he decided to fight with 5 LEOs. He impeded their implementation of the law and therefore was not engaging in a legal activity. He was being aggressive against LE. He had a known history. You know, PRECEDENT, counselor. I know lawyers think one thing can't have anything to do with another and you get a reset on every encounter but in the real world that is a fantasy. Dude was known for being an aggressive assailant provocateur. He was a piece of trash who does not deserve to be associated in any way shape of form with law abiding 2A citizens. I will throw him under the bus as a POS illegal gun carrier all day every day. If you are dumb enough to defend this idiot being the huge 2A gladiator you are, you totally discredit yourself and opinion and profession. And it doesn't take much to do any of those as of late.

And looking at the picture you posted of peaceful J6 protestors is a far cry from what this paid protestor decided was worth risking his life for. Hope the pay was good.

Tell me counselor, do you think they were prosecuted fairly in proportion to other crimes.and others who have done the same thing? I am not seeing paddy wagons rounding up MNPLS protestors. And even with that , there is protocol.

Never tell an officer you have a gun at first. You first tell the officer you have a carry permit. Then ask the officer if you can reach your wallet for the carry permit or open the glove box or other area as to tone down the situation. Need to get the officers sphincter to relax. First time contact with a suspect is very dangerous/stressful for a LEO. They don't know if you are a thug with an illegal gun or a law abiding gun owner. Toning it back a few notches goes a long way to prevent being shot.

Most police , when encountering a legal , law abiding gun owner , actually approve/support gun owners , but not thugs.

I don't like that that single individual was carrying either. He is not a friend of the 2A or any kind of help in pushing forward pro 2A initiatives. I've carried a gun to every protest I've been to (which, admittedly, is only two), but if I ever attend another, you can bet there'll be a pistol in my pocket. (Along with food and water, radio, and trauma kit in a backpack).
