I had that fox that bred early this year I wonder where the cats are at so far this year. I’m only seeing singles on my cams have not seen any running together yet not even in close proximity. Strange weather this year very mild it’s back in the 40s today 50s in a few days crazy for out here.

Cat activity dropped off when the cold hit I was surprised how many cats were caught in that warmer weather not what a guy expects just the opposite normally. Coyotes all but vanished off the creeks I’m trapping on. Just another strange year but strange winters are becoming normal lately.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Fox are hitting it pretty hard around here. Marking and trying to catch up with the girls.

Local young trapper just sent me this catch photo from this morning. We got about 13" of snow a week ago and a couple inches on top of that a few days ago. Sets have been in the ground 9 days.

He said he caught it on a tuft of grass scent post. Red fox gland lure and red fox urine. Along a power line right of way access.
