They're okay, mine had mediocre accuracy, fit and feel is cheap.
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, & I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve

I bought a Ruger 17HMR when they first came out well built rifle the accuracy is great the stopping power of that little pill is not that impressive they are fun to shoot the caliber is fine for varmints. The bullets come in a wide verity configurations picking the right bullet for the desired outcome is critical TNT to FMJ both ends of the spectrum.

I have a Savage with the synthetic stock and bull barrel. Very accurate gun. My only beef with it is the magazine. Sometime it holds and feeds fine but sometimes it will dump the entire load when you insert it or when you cycle a shell. Aggravating!

I have an old Mossberg chuckster and a 15 year old 17 savage with the short stock and bull barrel. The clips are interchangeable, no problem. Just have to grab the right shells and off you go. The 17 is amazingly accurate to the point that you really have to mark where the squirrels fell. Head shots at 50 yards is doable, but it is easy in the Pa woods to pick the wrong tree after waiting for a second squirrel to show

I had one, I liked it. Was very accurate shooting gun. Shot a pile of rock chucks and prairie dogs. An a few coyotes.
Traded it for 223.
