What do you suggest?

Zero at 100yds with full-sonic and then see what tic mark on the scope that may be at the same 100yd for sub-sonic? Then the cross hairs are say zero at 100 yards for a full powered shell and lets pretend three tics down is zero at 100 yds with a sub-sonic. At what scope power? If I do that at zoom power 6 then my zero is only at zoom 6? What if something is far away and i want to use zoom 9? But this scope has turrets… so set them to zero right? At that 100 yards? Or maybe i have a turret setting for subsonic?

Anyway someone on here has prob already done something like this. What did you do or what is your a trick or suggestion? Maybe Im overthinking it?

I would suggest testing all the different brands of ammo you can get your hands on first. In my experience the 22 mag is really picky with very large swings in accuracy, see which one your rifle eats best.

Changing your scope's "power" should NOT affect the POI or POA (point of impact or point of aim) if the scope is of any good quality. In short the scope's cross hairs are not moved with the scope's power setting - unless you have a scope that has a yardage adjustment.

Subsonic? Why bother for exact same ballistics as a subsonic .22 lr at three times the cost.

most guns will sight in at 25 yds and come back into zero at 200 yds but guns like the 22mag 30-30 and similar guns(short range calibers)the zero still is 25 yds and than 100 yds its alot easier to shot at 25 yds and get pinpoint accuracy and than take a few shots at farther ranges to see how your gun or ammo reacts

for example my 270 zero at 25yds 1.5" high at 100 yds zero at 200 yds 8" low at 300 yds and roughly 4 feet low at 500 yds my 22-250 has roughly the same ballistics but my 30-30 im not shooting over 150yds anyway so it sites in perfect for zero at 25 and 100

I was wondering about that but this suppressed mag sounded like it was thumping the target but your saying the .22 lr is the same to be subsonic they are equal you are saying? The rifle needed a scope. Thats just what i played with through the can to see how quiet it was… it was really quiet for 22 mag but your saying its the same just a plain ol lr though.

Ok so unless that's a scope specifically made for .22 mag then I'd toss a lot of that stuff out. .22 mag isn't really a 100yd cartridge. Unless you shoot 75-100yd with it all the time I wouldn't bother . 25yd -30ud makes more sense for .22mag. maybe 50yd yd .

But anyhow I'd zero @ 25-30yd the. Walk your target out to 50yd aim at the same place and shoot a group. 75 yd shoot a group, 100yd shoot atl group then maybe like 125yd and shoot a group. After each group I'd circle them and lable them to keep track. By the end of it you'll have basically a drop chart that will show you what's going on. The. You can set it at 100yd line you scop up and figure out what aiming point is what

use a sight in target graduated in 1" squares, sight in 1" high at 50 yards, now move the. target to 100, look and see where each of the 2 different ammo hits in relation to the graduated reticle. the substentions will only be correct on 9 power unless the reticle is first focal plane (the reticle gets bigger as you turn the power up) that will tell you how much drop you have at 100.

If you are shooting a 45 grain slug at 1000 fps out of your mag, or a standard.22 lr, downrange performance is identical.

My answer to ur question is you should shoot both the super sonic ammo and sub sonic ammo your going to use and develop a dope chart for both ammos. Then from that info and depending on your own personal use of the gun and each load you will have to figure out what setup is best for your situation. A lot of variables involved. For me most of my hunting rifles are setup for maximize point blank range. My target guns normally just zeroed at 200.
Ultimately your going to have to have a pretty extensive dope chart if your wanting precision at any kind of distance using one scope and two different loads.

zeroed at 50 most ammo drops about 2" at 100. Past 100 yards, I am wishing I had my .223
