With the cold we have been getting the animals have been hitting the bait piles hard. This one has Coyotes and fishers in it, not usually touched unless the animals are super hungry. Two fishers have been working it, they finally meet up on camera. In the daylight one the darker fisher just climbed the tree and waited. The second one, they had a roaring fight on the video, talk about fast! For those wondering our season is still open but already took the amount I wanted out of this area.

Nice pics!

I had a bait pile that had 3 Fishers protecting it. Coyotes didn’t hit the bait until I caught 2 of the Fishers. I ended up catching the 3rd Fisher and a bunch of Coyotes.

Cool pics, thanks for sharing. I think people underestimate how fisher can key on things like bait piles or winter killed animals. I picked up four big males last year in 7 days out of the same box that was near to a dead whitetail buck that the coyotes, eagles and ravens were also working over. Trail cams give us a neat window. I had one set on video mode on a box that I picked one up at yesterday. It took that big male 3 full minutes to commit to entering the box. It was the last decision he will ever make. lol

How many did you take from the area? Just curious as I always wonder if I have taken too many from a spot or if I could pit in longer.

Just over the state line into W.Va. a buddy traps that area. He took me to an area that many locals would take their deer carcasses after processing. He had several fisher hitting those deer remains for many weeks.

One of my favorite spots to trap fishers is where bear baits were located earlier.
