I remember I gave Greg his pickup line, back when he was single. I told him when he was talking to a woman about what he did for a living, say "You know how people say it's not rocket science, for me it is, I work for NASA.". Hanging out with him and his brother, is in good part how I ended up with Diane. Their mother is one of Diane's best friends.

Maiden was the first real concert I ever attended. Saw them in Cedar Rapids, IA on the Seventh Son tour. Megadeth opened. Still one of the best shows I've ever seen. My favorite album is A Matter Of Life And Death., followed closely by Seventh Son Of a Seventh Son and Book of Souls.

I was late to the Iron Maiden game. Brave New World was their first album I bought. Nomad is my favorite track.

I'm a heavy metal country boy, doing country things to a heavy metal soundtrack. I am usually listening to Iced Earth while running my traps.

Favorite Maiden album. ??

Mine is Book of Souls

Up the Irons

Piece of mind…revelations is my favorite track on it
Ryme of the ancient mariner is probably my favorite song… I had no idea that it was originally a poem written a very long time ago.
Writing on the wall is another great one… the video is pretty weird.

Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" is my favorite poem because of Iron Maiden. Like the song it is very long, but I can recite most of it by memory.

That, "Revelations" and "The Evil That Men Do" are Iron Maidens most poetic songs.

I love the lines:

"She came to me with a serpent's kiss,
As the Eye of the Sun rose on her lips.
Moonlight catches silver tears I cry.
So we lay in a black embrace,
And the Seed is sown in a holy place,
And I watched and I waited for the Dawn."

and

"Love is a razor and I walked the line
On that silver blade
Slept in the dust with his daughter
Her eyes red with the slaughter of innocence

And I will pray for her
I will call her name out loud
I would bleed for her
If I could only see her now"

That was my first introduction to Maiden. Epic song. I used it in a high school presentation for history class.

Saw them in the early 80s. They opened up for Judas Priest. Good show.

I love the guitar work on “stranger in a strange land and “ flight of Icarus “
Seventh son “ and mother Russia “ have cinematic elements about them.
My buddy who recently passed, and myself,, would have a freindly back and forth between who was the better band,,, maiden or ac/dc.
He was huge on ac/dc .
I was a maiden fanatic

I really like both ACDC and Iron Maiden. Lyrically, Iron Maiden is vastly superior. Those two have been among my favorite bands for a very long time.

Steve Harris is the best bass player in metal. The only actual original member of Maiden
