heck we could say we were some of the nicest concours' , we set aside lands and pay them still , they have citizenship in our nation and can vote and work like any other citizen if they care to.
most other places they were just murdered or displaced , sometimes the women were kept alive.
look at a map of the rise and fall of the roman empire and countries in Europe , Africa , parts of Asia have been the same a long time but it was in flux in the past. generally if a place has been the same a long time either it had a well established government or it had basically no resources and is very hard to live in.
so mass genocide is preferable than displacement with the option to live out your life as an American citizen? or a Canadian one since really they did the same thing.
I am not saying it is nice or that Native Americans didn't get a raw deal in many ways , I am saying that occupation , colonialization and empire building has been going on since before Jesus walked the earth , and if we want to back up a couple thousand years further peoples were still concurring each other and taking their lands.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

…. You boys watch this debate and tell me what you think
The officer wasn't wrong...
What's interesting here is the Sioux claiming the Black Hills sacred.I read a research paper once where historians interviewed frontiersmen at the time who said before the white men came the Sioux looked at the hills as being full of evil spirits.
I had to look this gal up. Who cares what she says? Her music is awful, by the way.
Sure, the Indians got a raw deal. But, most of those crying for the Indians don't have to live around them. I do. It's not like Dances with Wolves. Alcohol, drugs, welfare, crime--basically useless. Their Casinos are also crime generators.
Anyway, this thread reminded me of Sacheen Littlefeather and Marlon Brando. Littlefeather was a fake indian but way better looking than Eilish.
My father knew a guy who went to a casino out in Arizona somewhere. He won a decent bit of money and cashed out. Before he made it out of the driveway he was beaten and robbed by some indians. They left and he pulled out a shotgun behind the seat of his truck and blew all the lights out of their casino sign. He headed to the nearest gas station and asked the attendant if he had made it to the town he was headed to and the attendant looked at him, laughed and said buddy you ain’t there yet but we ain’t got no Indians here either. Evidently getting robbed by Indians is a common occurrence out there.

I didn't say they are animals. I said most of them are basically useless and I'm not talking about blonde headed Cherokees that claim to be Indian.
The useless ones can get a job, not be drunks, not do drugs, not be on welfare and/or not commit crimes like the rest of productive society. Again, I know some that are great but it's not a high percentage.
Went to court a while back over a traffic deal, case was dismissed because the cop never showed, chicken. I went last and almost all the people in there were indigenous people with drugs, drinking or wife beating or a combination of crimes. It was unreal.

He’s spot on , actually.
Honor a Soldier. Be the kind of American worth fighting for.
Long story, but I never claimed to be Native American... even a little bit. I said I was FROM there (location).
I cannot think of any white person I know in Oklahoma ever saying they are from the "Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma" or anything like that--like you do in your bio.
Hey Aaron--you ever say your from the Cheyenne Arapaho Tribe?
