Most of my concert attendance was limited to the Nebraska State Fair shows... although later on in my years I did go to a few at the mega church I attended. The 2 concerts which still stand out in my memories are the John Denver Concert at the Bob Devaney Sports Center ( largest crowd ever in that building) and then in a few years after that was The Beach Boys concert...... that's was when singing was the attraction at the main event... not smoke and fireworks and flashing lights and lasers with singers popping up out of the floor or lowered from the rafters... and half naked women flaunting all over the place !!!!

[quote=QuietButDeadly]Not a big concert goer but saw John Denver at a coliseum. He was the first person on the stage and the last person to leave. When the band took a break, he kept right on picking and singing. No warm up group. Just John and his band.
John Denver did the same thing in Lincoln... First one on the stage, band took a break but not Denver,,, then the band came back out. At the concert end Denver was the last one off the stage... 2 maybe almost 3 hrs later !!

One of the best concerts I’ve ever seen was when firehouse/trixter/warrant were touring together. Each and every one of those bands were spot on, recording quality good.. vocals and guitar work. The one I went to, but have an extremely limited memory of, was Johnny cash..he was at the Illinois State Fair and I wasn’t very old… maybe 5 years old at the time. Sure wish I could remember more of it.

Alice Cooper by far was the best concert I have been to. I saw him in the early 90's and still talk about that show.
I saw Alice last year. Dude still puts on a heck of a show. I've seen him 4-5 times and it's always great That's great. Any time he is within 200 mile, we go. Glad to see I am not the only fan!

Backstage tickets back then for a phone call. That was sometime in the 80's. Alice was a great guy. Smart and funny. Cleaning up his "lawn" in a pair of shorts with his skinny toothpick legs sticks in my mind.
