I’ve had 6 injection sessions over the last year in my lower back and 3 nerve alblations. The steroid injections never did much for me; 1 out of 3 nerve ablations kind of worked a little. My L5 is basically gone, L4 is at 50%. Pars defect on both sides of my L5 and lots of arthritis. I’m 44 lol. I hope your treatment works out for you.

Did you get the cause diagnosed? I had constant back, hip, knee, shoulder and neck pain. The lower back was getting worse a couple months ago. It used to go away after I “took it easy” as much as possible but this time it wasn’t. I took a new job in our forestry department 3 weeks ago so no more line work. What a difference! And I haven’t even gone to the chiro to get a realignment! Money & OT is about the same, but it’s like working for a completely different company. No regrets. Good luck Smash!

You gonna need surgery?? No surgery any time soon. There’s no guarantee it will ease the pain, but I am guaranteed to further increase the spread of the disc degeneration up my spine by isolating off the bottom portion. So far, the best remedy I’ve found is to continue running and working out while basically adhering to a strict carnivore diet. It’s amazing how much less inflammation, aches and pains one has, when you aren’t pumping a pile of inflammatory processed carbs and sugars into your body.

take any relief you get to do low impact core strength exercise often
I have 4 ruptured disks basically everything lumbar and a fractured L1
core strength is so huge to not hurting
I did most of this damage in my early 20s I would be good all summer than Febuary March would about kill me I had a desk job by that point and hunting season was all over , I would get in a rut of work sleep work sleep maybe toss in shovel snow and bounce around frozen roads in my truck.
my back would get weak and pressure on the disks would be real
while you don't need to go to a gym , that 45 dollars a month during the winter on the gym membership would absolutely be getting spent on Doctoring and doctors bills if I let my back go in the winter like I used too , that just hurts too much.
lots of core like dead bugs to start went to a couple physical therapists , got one really good one that went beyond the stretches to loosen up tight and give relief and got me into the exercises to build the core strength
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
