Lol how much trapping YOU doing?

Every day. Setting, moving, and checking about 18 sets. While also being these best husband, father, and business owner that I can be. Spent 3 hours on the trapline today between helping my wife and having a daddy/daughter date with my girl. How about you Bdaniel?

One thing a lot of newer people here don't consider is that some of us have been on this site for 20+ years. We've discussed every trapping topic under the sun dozens of times. But over those years we've made many good friends in here and so we come here to "visit", not so much to talk trapping. We play around, joke, poke fun, and just catch up. We come to see Nessy's latest loaf of sourdough, to see what problems coonman's vechile is having now, to see if the game wardens ever caught up with Savell or if 330trapper ever got his van fixed and rescheduled that date. We try to answer questions for the new trappers, and once in a great while we may even have a trapping question ourselves. But mostly we come because this place and the people on it.... are home. smile

As for trapping... no I'm not. Where i live, with deer dogs running every inch of land from November until the end of January, it's not easy to trap... especially land trap. I planned to set out a line the first part of February but an ice storm knocked our electricity out for 14 days!! That kinda threw a wrench in things. I hope to get a small line out sometime this coming week though.

The devil's greatest trick isn't making us think he doesn't exist. It's flattering us. So we don't see..... the devil is us.

This and some of us don't trap anymore because age and health make it just too hard to do.
We want to, and notice great spots to make a set, but our bodies smack us with reality. Much like my first wife would smack me for being at a bar with friends instead of home with her and the kids.
This site gives a little dose of times gone by.
It's just nice to BS once in awhile with like people!

Just like trapping; location is everything. If I put a trapping thread on Trap talk I get far more views and responses than if I put in the Trapping only forum.

Thanks bud.i love the jake traps for cats.thats the only thing I use em for.they are to much for my live market k9 line.they are on par with the nice double long springs with big pans but don't take up as much real estate with the big springs.love the dogless with wire levers too
