Try to find out if they salt the only tails, I see the directions then the photo looks like they were salted what’s the deal? I’ve got some with off color stripes but nice tails be nice to know before I get going.

To salt or not to salt that is the question.

I use Borax. It speeds up the drying process especially in low temperatures.

I would use what Mr Benson mentioned i have always used Borax on my Skunk tails

Salt I have borax I don’t so look's like it’s salt. I thought borax messed with the tanning solution formula from past cat put up posts?

Groeney pays good $ for Boraxed tails! You can find it in the laundry soap department in a small town grocery.

Not necessarily boraxed. Fleshed and dried correctly just like any hide

Pin the tails out flat on a board with nails. Then borax.

Works great I did 5 tails because the pelts had yellow tinted stripes put up 3 with good stripes I need to pick up one in the morning and rebait some cages. Have 2 bigger one in the freezer I need to thaw undecided on what to do with them.
