When on a trip with mostly interstate driving, I just ate cheese and oranges and nuts. I try to avoid processed food of any kind and finding anything real at interstate restaurants is impossible.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

I like Landjaeger, Bavarian survival food, lol

dried beef and fat sausage...never seen it go bad, doesn't need refrigeration, other than the salt, its practically pemmican....good stuff.

My friend Jeremy used to make pork rind nachos, when he was on the Adkins diet. He just dumped pork rinds on a plate, topped them with cheese and microwaved them for a couple of minutes. They weren't bad, but real nachos taste better.

But real nachos are carbs.

Protein and fat are where many of us have gone with our diets and snacks.

Add in a few green veggies or berries if you want.

Greek yogurt is high protein and plenty of good flavors if you find one you like.

Hard to beat meat and cheese. Parmesan cheese is high in protein.

Beef Jerky of course.

Hard Boiled Eggs.

Peanut Butter... I like honey PB. Put enough on celery and you don't mind the celery. lol Apples are good too.

Sardines are protein and come in all kinds of flavor but best on a cracker which im guess you don't want.

dried meat
cheese and sausage ,like summer sausage
bell peppers with cream cheese and everything but the bagel seasoning
dill pickles
cream or half and half yup just take a couple swigs
a big spoon full of coconut oil or butter - sounds strange but it gives your belly some fat to work on which has no carbs
make sure you are drinking water , coffee no sugar , broth, tea , lite beer it's carbs but 3.2 per 12oz miller lite a man has to live some.

mostly just eat meals of meat and veg
a big salad with some cheese and meat on it for lunch careful on the dressing

half of what people think is hunger is coming off a sugar high
once you break that it is amazing how little you need to eat.

remember you will probably need more salt now on your food you may even need to drink broth to keep your salt up , because you won't have any coming from processed foods that are loaded with sodium.
