Sometimes when I'd go to bed at night I'd get these spasms, not cramps, in one of my legs making it impossible to fall asleep. They aren't painful, just annoying. My wife says they are called restless legs. This is really crazy, but my wife read where you can almost immediately cure the problem with a teaspoon of yellow mustard. I tried it and was amazed at how well it works. A teaspoon full washed down with water. If you have this problem, try it. Sure works for me.

Pickle juice is another good cure for spasms/cramps. Small glass will do it.

Usually a symptom on low magnesium.

Look for a magnesium glycinate supplement.

There is an ointment sold on Amazon or at Walmart called Amish origins. My woman swears by it for eliminating restless leg syndrome

Meds are the only thing I've found to help. My sister has even been to the Mayo clinic . She has went for days with no sleep, eventually being hospitalized. My whole family has it. If you've never had them, you wouldn't understand. If you have them , you know exactly what it's like. I get them in my arms also.

I hit the Diet Coke pretty hard years ago my knees would fall asleep at night waking me up and ached like it was bone on bone during the day neck and back pain poor range of movement.

I quit the DC never felt better I even had my knees X-rayed during that time the Doc said the X-rays did not show any issues but I could sure feel it.

I know a guy that has this and the put him on a pill used for Parkinson’s that he takes if he has a problem, the rate was half the normal use rate, and when he would take it within 30 minutes he was asleep and wouldn’t wake up for at least 8 hours, he was afraid what a full rate of the medication would do.

I use a Parkinson's drug also. I take 3 pills once a day, in the evening. Take it then because it makes me sleepy, not to the point of your friend

I'm thinking maybe it's the vinegar in the mustard that does the trick. All I know is that mustard sure works for me and very quickly. There must be vinegar in pickle juice.

Cramp relief is great but cramp prevention is best. Proper fitness level and proper hydration & minerals daily. Supplementation for inflammation as necessary.
