Starting to work on fur sale schedule. Getting a ton of calls from fur buyers lately, more than I have ever got. Aggressively looking for the following: heavy coyote/esp. with feet left on, gray fox, red fox, otter, lynx, mink, beaver for the garment trade, skunks, ermine and squirrels. Garment makers are hungry for red fox, seems like the harvest is low across the country. I put our otter averages against any sale in the country due to our native trade. Even southern otter do VERY well at our sales because of how hungry they are for otter out west. Obviously everyone and their neighbor is looking for bobcats and we will have all the high end buyers at the sale but we have 5 different craft and garment buyers looking for the flatter bobcats for pillows and vests. We always do a award for top cat at our sales just to do something fun and to recognize the top cat. This year we are upping the stakes. We have an engraved Henry lever action 22 that will be given to the trapper with the top cat! Our craft trade is really come a long ways in last few years. Skulls (raw and cleaned), claws, bones, feathers, shells, frozen beaver tails, tanned fur, leather, mounts, fur products and antlers are all being sought after. We will have freezers on site for frozen beaver tails, bobcat carcasses, raw skulls, frozen bears or any taxidermy quality items that need to stay frozen. We have at least 3 lure dealers that are interested in essence, glands and castor as well. As always, we have all of our activities that we have at our Idaho fur sale events: Bingo, fur handling demos, swag for sale, IDFG wolf trapper education class, membership meetings, live auction w/ donations, food, lure vendors, live music, raffles, kid giveaways and much more. Come support a organization that is protecting trapping not only in Idaho but all over. We have a lot of folks come to the sale just to hang out and don't even have fur to sell. Looking for sponsors for the event as well. If interested in shipping fur to me I need fur by March 2nd. Please contact me if your thinking on shipping.
Thank you

The markets looking up..even southern fur is being sought after.

Wrve sold alot of shearable beaver, red fox, otter and cats to Don. Much of it was used by his daugher law who makes alot of vests.

I was told she sold over 100,000.00 of fur garments and items at the Denver stock show in a weekend.

Hes a stickler for quality and was a good guy to deal with.

We are anxiously waiting on the marten results of your sale

IF IDIOTS GREW ON TREES THIS PLACE WOULD BE AN ORCHARD !

I’ve been told that Oregon doesn’t have any legit shearable beaver, even though a lot of my coastal beaver graded semi-heavy.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!
