With a 3" barrel? lol 100 yards would be impressive.

That gun ain't any good for hunting. That's a personal protection gun. I'd say knowing where it'll hit at 10 yards is pretty good.

My buddy's range is about 20 yards and out. For loads I just judged by how small of a target I could hit consistently. Never got more precise than that. But rests aren't allowed at his range either!!

Back when I toted mother's model 36 smith I could regularly put five into a pie plate at 100. Just cause it's short, don't mean it's not accurate. Just harder to line up just so.

Dad could bounce oil cans five for five hitting it on the fly. I never mastered that.

Nope. I was born at night but not last night. Ain't no one hitting a pie plate 5 for 5 at 100 yards with a 3" long barreled revolver.

And I'm not a good shot. Just one that burned through a couple boxes of 38 a week in my teen aged years. I knew what that pistol could do.

Cc firearms - 15 yds
Hunting - 25 yd zero then mostly likely back to zero at 75 yds(depends on load and barrel length)

Just becuse i can't do some things does not mean others cant. Shooting like that is most certainly possible. Same as running a 4 min mile or any number of things some people are good at most cant come close to.

For that 3" barrel revolver, 10 yds is a highly appropriate distance to sight in at Wolfie.

is it a hunting pistol or a defensive pistol

7-10 yards for the defensive pistols , honestly if you are perfect at the top of the sight at 7-10 you will be good at 25-30 as well

bullseye gun 50 feet exactly

hunting pistol 25 yards as pistol hunting distances are typically 25-50 yards

even a G19 that is on at 7-10 you just have to hold a little high like 6 inches at 100 yards

any sort of pistol game like silhouettes it depends on the sight and the ammo

for a 3 inch like that I would say 10 yards is about perfect

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Yup. That's a hallway distance gun. 10 yds. Sure it's fun to see what you can hit farther, but its not made for that.

Unless you're Elmer Keith. Didn't he tip over a muley at like 500 yds with his 44 with iron sights?

Back in 1994 on Fairchild AFB ,there was an active shooter incident that took place at the base clinic. A Senior Airman on bike patrol was in the area when the call came out. The SP happened to encounter the shooter in the parking lot ,he drew his issued M9 and fired four rounds. Two missed, one hit the shooter's shoulder, and one was right between the eyes. The distance ? 70 yards.

That's with a service 9mm Beretta M9 ,while being fired at. I believe they have a framed picture of the SrA at Fairchild's small arms range.Andy Brown is his name.

Incidentally, that was rough year for Fairchild . Four days after the shooting , a full bird was piloting a B-52 in preparation for an air show and crashed . 'Pilot error ' was deemed the cause due to reckless flying. The Colonel had a reputation for that.
