Ten days ago I was repairing frozen pipes, this week the daffodils are up and the chorus frogs are singing.

woah that's one early spring. It is getting warm here though, 30-40° F this week.

We got nice weather here also but we have the snowiest part of the season coming yet. Fingers are crossed hoping it don't get bad.

Sprung here a while back. Two days ago dug two holes two feet down 18 inches around. A shovel was all I needed to dig down and I set two large poles for a project.

Not to many years you could dig down with a shovel in Montana in February to dig a hole.

Wow, I don't know how much frost we have but the lakes in this area have around 30 inches of ice.

I know that is hard to believe!!! Lol Had some water standing a few inches deep mid week last week. I noticed Monday that water was gone so got the shovel out and voila!!! A little muddy on top but soft all the way down. I doubt I ever get to do that again in my life time.

I was going to start a fire over those two spots and I had a post on here about that. Didn't need fire/heat to have thawed out ground to get the job done. The two poles out front are the two I dug in by hand. I'm trying to get a few projects done before real spring comes when things get to busy.

Pretty sure I heard one this morning. Stepped on a piece of tin on my way out the driveway and heard one. Me and my neighbor both have domestics, but this didn’t sound like one of those

We had a rough couple weeks of winter this year warmest I can remember . I’m still not into my primary wood pile yet looks like I’m way ahead on next year but we need some moisture looking for some spring rains.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!
