Guys, I’ve shipped coon and beaver off to get tanned before,, but I’ve never shipped coyotes.. I’ve read in a few places that folding fleshed and dry skins puts a crease into the skin and causes the hair to fall out after tanning. How do you guys usually ship your coyotes to reduce the cost of shipping.

You can also make your own boxes if that is helpful. That way if you are concerned about folding just make a box to fit the length and depth you need to pack those coyote hides. Think side sections of larger boxes from say refrigerators, or longer tables or benches requiring assembly, those sort of longer or taller boxes. Cut large long flats from those and leave what you need on sides then use packing tape to create a long narrow box as thick as you need to stuff some dried yotes. I have tucked the tails up into the belly area to keep those from being damaged. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
