I see a couple of guys mentioned it casually in posts in the last day or two. Is it worth the time to set DPs to try and thin out Pack and Cotton rats? I have plenty of DPs, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if I thinned out some more nest robbers (coons and possums) before turkey and quail nesting season. Both of those rat species are at a population boom cycle around here. See sign of them everywhere. Including causing damage in a lot of places. All my DPs are pull triggers though, so maybe that won't work as well?

They’re easy to catch, just set a hair trigger on your DP’s.
I don’t target them, I’d rather predators and birds of prey take them rather than poults or chicks.

Just north of you we have a boom too. Houses the size of muskrat huts
I caught some in 120 boxes baited with sardines.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

I agree, just want to eliminate them around buildings and in a tree nursery.
