I have pretty much loved the Olympics since I was a kid. I can barely ski (never downhill) or skate but I love watching the Nordic, downhill, speed skating, luge, you name it! My 8 year old just started XC skiing this year, hopefully he’s the next Klaebo! lol. He was born on an Olympic year a week before the Olympics and slept in my arms in the recliner each night for that whole Olympics so we joke that he’s our Olympic baby. I think the Winter Olympics does beat the pants off the summer Olympics! Happy trapping! ScottW
I quit watching several years ago. Nothing but human intrest back-stories about a particular athlete, commentators, and lots of commercials. Most of what you see are just clips of an event. I remember when I was a kid, they'd wheel a TV set ito the classroom, and all we woud do for a week or so is watch; that was back in the 60's and 70's. It's been nothing but a commercilized joke since the early 80's.
While it seems most of the figure skaters are batting for the other team, you have to admit what they can do on skates is just amazing....
Anyone who can actually skate well or has played hockey at a reasonably high level knows this to be extremely true. Anyone who thinks otherwise has absolutely zero idea what skill is involved.

I've never liked the judged events, to subjective. Timed or head to head events are more exciting. Speed skating, downhill skiing, luge etc are fun to watch.
Same here and Olympic hockey rocks!! ... It's not like the 'Miracle on Ice' team days with real amaturers, but it's still smash mouth hockey. Those guys skate a little faster and check a little harder when they're playing for country

I don't care what anyone believes in, who they sleep with, or what they call themselves....just keep it to themselves...nobody cares what they think, just accept your medal and say thank you....
