Can daughters participate with their favorite activity with their Dad?? Hope so, cause here goes.

I grew up on a dairy farm in south central Wisconsin. Lots of small Woodlots (elm, maple, oak) and those woodlots were full of squirrels. We would go squirrel hunting on Saturday mornings - I was probably 6 or 7 - my Dad would shoot a squirrel, it would fall out of the tree and I would run and pick it up. He always carried a long skinny nail and he would put one of the squirrels back feet on the nail and I got to carry the squirrels back to the milk house. I felt so important. That is one of my best memories of my Dad.

I’m in my 70s now and my Dad passed away about 30 years ago and I still remember how much I enjoyed those Saturday mornings.

Love you Dad!! ❤️ ❤️

My daughter, as well as my boys learned how to shoot at a young age. We fished and ran traps. Did lots of father/daughter dances too.
One of my favorite pix of my daughter.

This is an awesome thread!

When my two girls were little we would have a “skip day” every spring and spend the day on the river. They never knew when it was coming. We would drop their older brother off at the high school, and if I turned left instead of right they would start whispering to each other. We’d hit Walmart and they would pick out snacks for the day. I’d already have the boat in and ready for us. We would put in bank lines on the way down river then spend the day on a huge sand bar (skip bar) fishing and exploring. Checking bank lines on the way back home gave them something to look forward too.

Since she has been old enough to deer hunt, we sit together and she is the hunter. Have been with her with almost every deer she has taken.
