I thought I read recently that they were not going to offer lynx cats on the March sale but they still listed the qty on the Order of Sale. And I do not see any note about holding lynx cats until June on their website.

I heard something about cats too, but nothing official. First sale is usually the best with the most buyers…….until it’s not. Like with skunk last year…lol.
No PT sales again.

My guess is the cats being offered are either buy backs from previous sales or dealer lots.

They will most likely hold all fresh cats, especially the westerns, for the June sale so that make a big splash of advertising. Plus it will be the entire seasons collection, not just early goods. Some of the best western bobcats are still catching mice and gophers when the March receiving deadline happens

I found it! It was a post by beaverpeeler (link below) and he stated that he was told there were not enough bobcats from the US for the March sale to bother with the paperwork to ship them to Canada so they will be held in WI and combined and shipped for the June sale.

Not to hijack the thread, but can anyone tell me how someone that does not have a receiving agent in their area would go about shipping to FHA?

Holy smokes! Best send them an email or call. Probably easiest to ship to an agent depending on the state I guess.
I know if I want to bring fur across a provincial boundary, it’s bloody stupid. I wanted to bring a raw wolf to the Saskatchewan convention this spring, not to sell, just go for the weekend and return home with it. To do it legally, I need a $20 export/possession permit from Manitoba, then a $30 fur dealer permit for Saskatchewan. I already got my trappers and fur dealers licence here……. I says forget it.

What they do not specify the ship to address as part of the instruction. But everything is consolidated in WI before going to Canada and the address of the WI facility is listed under the US Agent listing for WI.

I really like watching those live auctions. Could someone with the tech savvy to post the stream please do so I think there’s quite a few of us that like to watch them.

I hear ya! It’s like watching a horse race seeing your fur go live. That’s the other reason most of my fur winds up in North Bay. That and the $$, but each to their own how one chooses to market their fur.
On auction day, there’ll be a link on their website, but I’m sure it’ll be here somewhere too.
