.... and noticed some extended tube 18 inch 870s on the rack. Holds 5+1 3 inch shells.

Talked with the owner and he had bid on a lot of lightly used Texas trooper shotguns. The butt of the stock was kind of "melted" due to being in the trunk for so long I guess. Easy fix.

So I asked how much.

$350 + tax. What a deal!!

I love the sound of racking a pump!!

How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?

Nice,
I still have an original LE version bought from Remington salesmen inventory when they were still the original Remington long before I retired.

Good deal.

I love the sound of racking a shotgun too.

My brother was in the USCG. They did a lot of routine boardings to do a quick once over and check paperwork. Boarding team was generally 1 officer and 3 enlisted. When assembled on the deck at first and meeting with the captain and a few of his officers , the USCG officer would give a secret sign to the one enlisted man holding a shotgun. The guy would rack the shotgun loudly while still pointed skyward. Huge psychological effect.

Basically it said ,
We are the coast guard.
We mean business.
Comply.

They would get full compliance instantly. The simple routine inspection would go very quickly with zero issues.
