The other day we came home from trapping to find our driveway completely blocked by an internet company that had got a bucket truck buried in our drive..... installing fiber optic lines to no where... the only house at the end of my drive is ours, and we use a different company. Also at the end of our drive was a box of goodies from the TMAN discretionary fund. So as we sat in the truck for an hour and a half waiting to get home, we had a picnic of cheese, summer sausage, and crackers. Which was nice as it was well past lunch time and we were hungry!

Seems some on here thought we needed cheering up after our hellish past month. We were unable to get out of our driveway due to downed trees and power lines for over a week, 14 days without electricity, and now going on a month with no internet access with no estimate in sight for when that might be restored.
There have been rumors floating around that we lost all the food in our freezers... not true. Pete's son brought a small generator and we saved all the food. If we hadn't got the generator i was intending to can it. I've also seen a rumor that all of our water lines busted and needed replaced. Completely untrue. Remarkably we never had a single busted line even though I was anticipating some.
So I just wanted to post this to thank everyone for the goodies... Patrice and Zim for handling the fund, and to give this last update on our situation. We are now back to normal other than having no internet. Pete will not be online most likely until we do and my posting ability is still somewhat limited.
Thanks again everyone.
