What looks fake? Educate me as i don't see any of the "tells"

Ive seen fish, deer, a pitbull, a coyote and a seagull just like that through the years ice fishing

The fur doesnt look right to me for being water logged. The fox falling through the ice right next to a fishing hole that shows 6 inches of ice. Fox isnt falling through 6 inches of ice, even if its honeycombed ice. It just doesnt look right...and anymore, With AI, Im questioning anything that doesnt look right. Dont take it as a personal attack..ive been wrong before.

No worries midlander, I see a fox falling through less than half inch, shards laying around just like would happen with thrashing animal. Then refreeze that made nice black ice. I see this all the times on our lakes. On lake Erie we actively search for these spots as they freeze with no under ice.

It's not the first time pictures like this are posted, some are pretty well-known and meme-worthy and date back way before AI.

I have a small pond, maybe 75 x 100. Had a dead fawn that looked like that fox a couple years ago.

I was Duck hunting many years ago, and found a Bald Eagle with it's feet frozen to the ice next to an hole in the ice. Went all the way back home to get a spud to break it loose. It flew away, with little ice boots. LOL

While moose hunting one morning about 15 years ago, we came across a stag caribou that had fallen through the ice on a lake. We passed through again at dark, it was still struggling in the hole in the ice. We tried to shoot it with the .300 WM, but it was probably 1000 yards out. I don’t think we hit it.
