Cousin had a 300 prc built. Really talked it up. But sold it said it was over kill for whitetail after shooting a doe at 300 yards.

I have a 243, 260 rem and 7mm-08 all 308 based. No prc cartridges. All work well but I like the 7mm-08 best. So deping on your use 7mm?

Its got me thinking about a 270 again but I dont need any more speed or more guns I wont ahoot enough
. I think its just that wanting something else.

I have the 300 and the 6.5. Both shoot very well. I bought the 300 for an elk hunt and because I wanted a big 30 cal. I shot 208 Barnes out of it. It’s quite impressive. The 6.5 is as well. It’s very accurate and has put down everything I have shot with it quickly.

Just curious if you'd looked at a weatherby backcountry or Capra? If you want something unique cartridge in a accurate light weight gun it may be another option. I could also live vicariously through your purchase that way as I want one myself.

Donner, looked and handled Seekins the Weatherby and in Burgara at the wild sheep foundation show the end of January, among others really liked Seekins and their warranty . Life time no questions asked. The sig was not impressive at all nor were a couple of others. Figured I'd build a light weight sheep type rifle even tho I'll probably use the 300 wm cooper I have thats killed 2 deserts for my son in laws.

what's the can
I am looking at a Jessie's Girl Aluminum mostly because I just can't see going 5.7x28 or if I did it could get it's own can , I want light and quiet.

the host is a MkIV Ruger 22/45 4 inch barrel dealer called last night to say it was in.

my son went M&P the 22lr with the 20 round double stack mags it shoots well.
I do like the controls on the M&P but I have a thing for Rugers. this will round me out with MK1,2,3,4 although my son laid claim to the Mk2

I have a 6.5 PRC , bergara. Shoots really good. H1000 pushing a 143 gr eldx has been a very good combination. Only used it on whitetail so far, but it does a fine job.

I shot a 6.5 and 7 PRC in Wyoming a couple of years ago. "Best of the West" rifles with Huskemaw scopes. They were impressive on paper. My hunting partner smoked a bunny at 800 yards with the 6.5.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I have a built 6.5 pRC on a m70 classic long action. I can give specifics if needed. It shoots 147gr ELDM’s into little clusters and flat kills stuff. Had 20+ straight one shot kills on a variety of game and varmints out to 500 yards the first year I had it.

I really enjoy the chambering.
