Walked out side door this morning where wife's dogs had been digging, looked down and this nice chipped rock was staring at me........20ft from the steps. Found many arrowheads, but 1st one in my yard.

I wonder if there will be enough coffee and middle fingers to make it through the day.

Tell the dogs to keep digging. Bet there's more - it's all about location-location-location.

Other than Spring Gobbler, this is what I’m most looking forward to in a few months. Congrats on the find!

That's a nice one!

Found one in the marina parking lot once, I think it came in with some fill...laying right on top...

I found one on the roof of a mall one time. Flat rubber roof with gravel on top. We were shoveling gravel out of the way to repair a leak.

Around here, tribal plates are considered popo bait . A visual attractor, as it were.

For sure...our home was built on a higher area overlooking a 40' deep gorge with a small creek in the bottom that dumps in the river about 1/4 mile downstream.

Always thought it would've been a good location for a native American site.

Yep.....several Poarch Creek bloodline folks here. Most have the last name "Manac."

Their land holdings are in southern Alabama near Atmore, but several (that draw "Indian money" checks) live in this area of southeast Georgia.

That sounds about right...I found a site on a tidal creek, that was a higher terrain than the surroundings, found a lot of chips on the waters edge and some good or mostly good points, I have a feeling a lot of point work was conducted there, and the rejects were chucked in the water, lol

I was looking at satellite images. Thought a circle of trees across the rode from my farm looked odd. Switched to topography and sure enough its a raised circle not far off the creek that dumps into the Ohio river. I believe its a mound but have never bothered to ask the land owner for permission to investigate.

I have 2 friends that own land down on the creek one I trap. I should go looked on tonme of the gravel and sand bars.

They got guns.

They're well past the stone age.

Great find swamp. Neat design.
Last week while out calling I found a scraper that had been worn to a crescent shape on the business side. Great shape that fills the palm. Still flaked in the crescent. I figure they held whatever green hide over maybe a buffalo leg bone or solid branch. Seems it would work well that way. My friend there thought it also good for scraping and straightening arrows maybe.
