I actually have money on the US. A coworker was laughing at the US Juniors over the new year and I told him that you might not be laughing come the olympics. The guys a bit of a dink so I bet him $20 the US finishes ahead of Canada……. I hope I lose that bet, but I don’t bet with my heart……lol.

Women’s is better to watch if you’re new to it. Announcers seem to do a lot more “mansplaining”. Lmao

To clarify some of the rules. The hammer doesn't really go back and fourth it goes to the team that failed to score the last end (think of a end as a inning in baseball). It just often happens that it goes back and forth like that. If nobody scores in a end the hammer stays with the team that had it.

10 ends in Olympic curling. Many tournaments are only 8 ends.

8 stones per team on a four person team. Each person throws 2 stones.

There are no referees, the players are expected to police themselves. Even at the Olympic level this is mostly true. That's a big part of why the Canadian double touch incident was a big deal as he didn't admit to it and was a big baby about it when the issue came up.

I agree that the womens curling is much more interesting.
