To those of you who use them. Anyone have one with the hand winch like on a boat trailer? I was thinking of making one for my truck and was looking at that winch. Do those winches work very well? This will be used for both coyote and coon. I do have a 110 volt plug in the bed of my truck but then i have to have the truck running to use an electric winch. Looking for any and all pro's and cons and suggestions.

I've never used one with a hand winch, but I have a friend with one and he's used it for years without problems. I think you'll be fine with that set up if that's what you want to do.

I do. Works great. I really dont see any advantage to a electric winch. .
