Indian Lake, near me, has some islands covered with cormorant rookeries. Their poop kills the trees and a lot of the trees fall in the water, making what looks like excellent habitat for fish. We've never even gotten a nibble fishing near those islands. The cormorants obliterated the fish there.

I’ve had great fishing(saltwater) where there’s a lone tree out in the middle of nowhere loaded with cormorants/pelicans

Birds poop—— crabs eat poop—- fish eat crabs

Heading to belize next week for 24 days of permit fishing

When striper fishing, I always watch the birds. Find the birds and there will be baitfish, and there will be stripers. I’m sure it’s the same in saltwater.
