We still have 30 or so inches of ice. Chasing bass sounds fun though. Did you keep any for the pan?

I rarely keep bass to eat, but will be doing so in this spot. Gators were wearing me out every time I was fighting a fish. 5 years ago this fishery was in trouble due to overpopulation of gar and bowfin. been removing them en masse and it has made one hec of a difference. The buck bass, 2-3 pounds were tending the beds, the big females were staged in about 4-5 feet of water on structure and ledges to drop offs.

Snappers and herons are
working the pond fish here.

Can you keep the gators?
Don't see those on here.

The big river is plugged with ice.
It could get out of bank quick.
