I remember Quebec wanted independence at least 60 years ago.
Ontario didn't like Quebec at all.
But it's still part of Canada,

As far as tariffs , our country existed on nothing but tariffs until 1913 , and income tax started .
Government found all that money to exploit!
You now pay almost 50% in taxes now, add it up, sales tax, property tax, licenses , driving and plates ( taxes) gasoline taxes , you name it it's taxed!
I'm betting tariffs will reduce some taxes.
I also believe a lot of the fraud and over spending is going to be reduced!
