WOW!Team Canada played there best game today,probably ever....Our goalie played his BEST game also with a few good bounces going the USA way.Fraction's of missed goals for team Canada,a couple really good chances for team USA also.The game could have been 5-1,5-2 without a doubt....Canada had control of the offensive zone for 75 to 80% of the game,I'm happy USA won,there's some Warroad history that was made today.Bill Christian and his brother were part of the 1960 gold medal team,Bill is Brock Nelsons Grandfather,Bills son Dave Christian was part of the 1980 gold medal,Brocks uncle and now they all have gold medals.Again hats off to team Canada for playing an almost perfect game that they deserved to win,hate to see anyone lose such a great game they played.Our goalie was almost unstoppable today.Congrats to both team's I hope it doesn't take another 46 years for another gold medal,if it doe's I won't be around to watch it.....Now it's time to get back to the NHL season,hockey hockey till the Stanley Cup......

It was a great game and as a Canuck I got no problem that the US won but what loser came up with the brilliant idea that a gold medal game should be decided by playing 3 on 3 hockey? All medal games should be 5 on 5 until someone scores. No shoot outs, no 3 on 3 just full on real hockey until there’s a clear winner.

I agree it seems stupid to change the game when it goes into OT. Just to end it quicker they say.

The 3 on 3 favors the Canadians with all that speed.

The Canadians had many ..many opportunities to put away the USA.

But on this day..they couldn't Finish.

I couldn't believe how fast the game was!
Both teams played faster than I've ever seen.
Canada , had so many chances to finish it , long before over time.
Just the way the puck skips I guess.
I was impressed with both teams.
I'm happy the US won, but it could of been different easily.

Funniest part was MacKinnon getting his medal with some kinda teddy bear thing, he looks at it shaking his head thinking “what the….?”…lol

There were so many great plays, shots, saves. but who was it that hit both pipes in the 3rd? That would lead to some sleepless nights.

Skating around with a 13 jersey showed the class North American players have.
