So, some years back I used a product a mechanic told me to use. Said it wouldn't block heater core etc. I used it and the leak stoped in a few minutes after I pored it in.

Does any know of a safe and good product for this issue.

Give it a try, I've had good success with it and never had it ever plug up a heater core. About 3-4 years ago a coworker at that time had by passed his heater core, we hooked it back up and poured in a half acan of BP I saw him last fall and it was still working.

I’ve heard of people having luck with black pepper.

GM made pellets that worked good. They were dry and you dropped a couple in the rad. Our local dealer called them horse pills. Not sure if they still make them.

I think I still have a couple of those in original gm packaging.

I used that Bars on my 97 jeep when the heater core started leaking, and if any one knows about how difficult it is to replace a jeep heater core, you know you will try anything before going that route !

Unfortunately it stopped the radiator thermostat from working before it stopped the leaky heater core, flushed it all out and have just by passed the heater core completely.

Any one have a different idea on a heater for the jeep before taking the insides out to get to it, I have a couple of those electric fans now that I clip on a shelf I put in, they work ok until it's gets to 20 degrees or so, then it's just warm where the air hits the windshield, ok for hunting out in the sticks, but not so safe driving on a highway !!

I can't even have enough bad words about how cars are put together any more, with no care at all about self care !!!

I’m thinking the last one,and I mean THE last one I did was 7 hours,you don’t think it should be that bad cause there’s no dash really but !

K-seal, its in a little blue jug. Has worked everytime ive seen it used. If its the water pump nothing will work but replacing it.

Probably the same stuff as GM

Pepper, bars, or silver seal I’ve had them all work and had them all fail but it’s worth a try when you don’t know where it’s coming from.

Napa sells a product called iron tite that seems to work better than anything. It will seals leaks but not clog heater core or radiator. It's kinda expensive, around 18-20 dollars
