SD/WY both moved their turkey season back a couple weeks shortening the season in the Black Hills. The Hills tags were unlimited in the past throughout the season now there’s a quota and a one time draw for NR hunters and residents from what I’ve seen no quota for residents. The reasoning was the bird numbers are down and more NR tags were being sold than resident tags. Some areas are more crowded then others but lots of elbow room in many areas if you’re willing to do the work.

WY was over the counter but that might of changed getting the current spring turkey info is challenging not a priority it seems like.

Nebraska was roughly 350 for 2 tags. 10,000 non res total. Sold out in a couple hours

I see MO jacked up the deer tags to $360 now it just keeps getting worse. SD is similar for deer but turkeys way cheaper here.

They also factor in the cost to citizens of the taxes we pay for conservation, and how those other states treat non-residents.

Michigan gets $161 for a non-resident tag if your over 17. Younger than 17 it is the same as a resident youth.....$21 or so.

It was way past due for MO to raise the cost of tags for non resident.
